According to legend, familiars are guides who take the form of a household pet. They are loyal guardians, energy protectors, healers, and the truest of companions. And they often take the form of a black cat that shows up right when you need them. Binx's Home for Black Cats and House of Black Cat Magic are bringing the magic of black cats to Asheville so you can find your familiar!

Come join us on Saturday, December 20th at House of Black Cat Magic in Asheville from 12-5PM for our black cat adoption event. We'll have black cats galore of all shapes, sizes, and ages- all familiars looking to find their soul person and forever home. Are you ready to find your familiar?

Adoption fees:
Kittens $125 ($225 for two)
Adults $95 ($165 for two)
Seniors (10 years and up) $75

PLEASE NOTE: Potential adopters should submit an adoption application PRIOR TO the event in order to access the cat lounge for FREE. Anyone attending the event without a pre-approved application will still have to pay for a cat lounge ticket. You DO NOT have to have a kitty in mind to submit an application.

Cardboard carriers can be purchased from the rescue for $10.

Binx's Home has a two kitten policy meaning that if you do not currently have a young cat or kitten in your home already, you will need to adopt two kittens. Anyone with a young, energetic kitty already (under 8 years) may adopt a single kitten.

There are many scientific studies that support the understanding that petting cats and coloring relieves stress and anxiety. So why not do both?

Coloring books and markers (and of course, cats) are provided for this relaxing artistic session. And once everyone is done with their picture, you can choose to take it home or hang it on the altar in the shop for Bastet!

Tickets are $15 per child + 1 adult and admission goes directly to the care of our resident panthers.

Children ages 13 and under are welcome to this event! (We also have an adults-only event so head to our calendar if you're looking for that one) Parents please keep in mind that this is meant to be calm and relaxing for all attendees and cat lounge rules need to be followed by all attendees.

Release your inner child by coloring with us in the cat lounge. Take 50 minutes for yourself and cuddle with the panthers, meet other cat-lovers, and color a beautiful picture of a cat from our adult coloring books!
